Vintage 1930s string of cream faux pearls with1920s pearlised flower and leaf beads

This beautiful shabby chic necklace is a 1930s cream faux pearl necklace to which I have added four 1920s pearlised beads. The combination is a lovely old world cream confection.

The necklace itself is 17" (43cm) long string of graduated faux pearls.

In excellent vintage condition - the clasp is strong. Some of the beads' surfaces have come off here and there which gives it a genuine old world shabby chic feel.

It has a beautiful solid sterling silver clasp ('sterling' is written on the back).

The beads match the colours of the pearls perfectly and they are genuine 1920 mother of pearl beads in the shape of a leaf and a lily flower. The leaf and flowers are 5/8" (1.5cm) long.

I love their fine detailing and some of the pearl surface has lifted in small areas. I also love the soft pearly and faintly pink colouring - very of its time.
