This piece as well as a few others was inspired by February 2, which is National Hedgehog Day. This, however, is a porcupine. I painted this cute creature in browns and added tiny bits of hand cut papers in a mix of red and white patterns, on a soft grey background. Acrylic and paper on Gessobord, sides are painted so no frame is necessary, 8” x 8”. Varnished to add shine and to keep the paper protected.
