The Gayatri Manta is an ancient Sankrit chant or prayer. In this beautiful textural painting was featured in the The Hermitage Museum's 'Spiritual Visions: Crossing Boundaries, Making Connections' exhibit from December 2010 - February 2011. Both the prayer itself and the translation are handwritten on the painting with metallic silver ink.
