This is an 80" x 26" drawing in permanent marker and ink on high-quality paper. It is comprised of over 30,000 markings. The drawing is in two sections, each 40" long. The two sections may be displayed together or separate and may also be joined in the corner of a wall to create a diptych. The many individual markings, of slightly varying form, make up one larger form that flows horizontally through the composition. The relationship between the 'micro' and 'macro' is important to the work and to the series from which it originated. This relationship, along with the overall scale of the piece, offers the viewer multiple vantage points from which to examine the work. It was made in 2008 as part of a series titled "The Multitudes."
