This pattern was inspired by a favorite vintage lace bolero I found in a thrift shop. Its cropped length and 3/4 sleeves make it a perfect layering piece. The bolero works as well with jeans and a t-shirt as it does with a party dress. The pattern is knit in one piece in a classic trellis lace pattern and seamed at the sides before edges are finished with a simple k1 p1 rib.

The pictured sample was knit using either Naturally Caron "Country" or "Spa" yarn.

Needles Required: US 9 - 5.5 mm, US 7 - 4.5 mm (circular will work best, particularly in the size 7 needles, which are used for the ribbed edging )

One 3/4” button is required for finishing.

The lace pattern is extremely stretchy, and along with the dolman style sleeve, this top drapes nicely and is very forgiving.
