Sterling Boudoir Dolls are the perfect doll to represent the Art Deco Era. Their flirty almost snobby look is just fabulous! The Sterling company started making Boudoir dolls in about 1930. They have a molded torso of composition which makes them different from all other dolls. She is marked Sterling on her back. Its very rare to find these ladies marked.

This lovely lady was my first Boudoir Doll. She is wearing the same outfit I purchased her in and any paint or clothing not original to her was given to her by her prior owner. She appears to only have a minor makeup touch up, but I could be wrong. I put her in my restored section just to be on the safe side. Her composition head, arms torso and feet are in relatively good condition. She has some minor cracking around one of her eyes. Her golden shoes are most likely a repaint and her arms are in great condition. They are just a little loose hooking into her torso. It was not worth it to me to take her apart. The shadows are her forehead or just my own poor photography. Her mohair wig is original and sparse in the back.

This gorgeous cottage lady has a matching purse and hat. The shawl was including when I purchased her and I will send it with her although I wouldn't say it is a match. There is a small cameo attached to her dress on the neck line.
