Antique Asian Chinese Children 1933 Print

The holiday they like best of all is New Year's Day.

This beautiful illustration was saved from a 1933 chldren's book about children from other countries. It was written during the height of the golden age of children's books and the art is simply outstanding. The colors are rich and beautiful. I've hesitated for a long time about parting with them but I really have nowhere to display them and they are too wonderful to keep hidden away in a drawer.

The page measures 9 3/4 x 12 inches. The illustration measures 9 1/8 x 11 1/8 inches.

PLEASE NOTE: My scanner is not large enough to scan the complete page. The first photo is of the heart of the illustration. The second photo is the upper half and the 3rd the lower half.

*CONDITION*: The illustrations are in very good condition. One or two show very little wear around the edges of the paper, but if you mat & frame the print it would be covered. The paper is heavy and not fragile. It lies flat. The color on each plate remains vivid. There is a raw edge on each plate where it was attached to the spine. It can be trimmed or covered by a mat or the edge of a frame. Thanks very much. Please convo with any questions.
