Vintage crazy at it's best! No need to rethink, reclaim or repurpose these babies. They are way cool all on their own! These vintage metal lumber jack shoe toe covers where found up in the North Woods of Paul Bunyan Country. The covers were made to slip over the top of the lumber jacks boots to protect their "little" toes. I could find no informatiion on these at all. Have no idea how old they are but figure them to be old. As you can see in the picture the one toe cover has part of it's leather strap missing and has been "fixed" with part of a common shoe lace. Other than that both lumber jack toe covers are in good vintage condition.

Does size really matter here on something this fun?

The back opening is approximately 5 1/2" by 5 1/2" with the toe length approximately 6 1/2". There was plenty of room for my husbands size 10 1/2 foot to fit in there, if that helps you.

Use? The skies the limit here, a party conversation starter, or book ends on a wall unit, an uplight cover for a wall sconce, decorative flower vase cover, office in and out "boxes", coffee table decoration, quirky cabin decor, winter time mitten holder ....Okay you get the idea, use your imagination here.
