This is a wonderful set of nut or candy dishes. The Noritake lusterware dishes are shaped like card suits and were likely used to set out refreshments at bridge or poker parties. The Heart and Diamond dishes are an iridescent peach lusterware and the Club and Spade dishes are iridescence blue. All of the dishes are edged in black. They are made of fine porcelain and date to the early 1900s. The bottoms of the dishes are marked "NORITAKE M HANDPAINTED MADE IN JAPAN". Each piece measures approximately 3" (7.6 cm) by 3" (7.6 cm) and is 1" (2.5 cm) tall. They are in great vintage condition and would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
