I find such beauty in architectural salvage pieces and try to give them new life while preserving & respecting the materials.

Featured is the COLONIAL Red Memo Board and/or Picture Frame created using authentic antique ceiling tin dating back to the late 1800's / early 1900s. This tin has a gorgeous raised flourish design that is only accented by the contrasting paint colors. I've given this baby a fresh coat of colonial red and then further distressed it to reveal the original creamy taupe and deep worn tin underneath. Adorned with a red iridescent ribbon for hanging ~ the ribbon is so soft, I couldn't help but embellish with a few extra bits. Also included are three vintage button magnets ~ all made with extremely strong rare earth magnets so they are sure to do their job!

Designed to be versatile, this piece can change as your lifestyle changes. Use it as a magnetic memo board to pin up lists & to-dos, make it a picture frame, create a memory board & hang mementos from a recent trip or just leave it as is and use it as a wall hanging.

This item measures approximately 17" tall x 13" wide (with the ribbon hanger). Without the ribbon hanger, the tin alone measures approx. 12" x 13".

A LOT of love (aka work) goes into each of my boutique ceiling tin creations. I only use authentic vintage / antique ceiling tins because the history is what makes this material beautiful. After personally selecting designs of these salvaged materials, I thoroughly clean each tin. I then eyeball it to decide what this tin is calling for...does it long to be a frame, a mixed media art, a memo board. Once decided, I then crimp & bend the edges and lastly apply a sealer to the front & back. The sealer protects the vintage charm & preserves the item by preventing additional chipping. As a true lover of vintage materials, I want to make them last. I am the original designer of the these ceiling tin memo boards and I'm confident this will show in the workmanship.

{Please Note}
* Since this is an authentic antique ceiling tin, it may contain rust, sharp edges and possibly lead paint. I have applied a varnish to the front & back to help protect the patina, prevent chipping, & keep your hands clean :)
* THe picture of the back is an example, it is not of the actual tin.
