Marvelous antique primitive crock from about the 1890s. Large, sturdy cylinder with thick rolled lip and thick walls. Creamy pale glaze on the outside, dark brown ale glaze on the inside. Very minimalist farmhouse, and stoutly utilitarian.

About 9" tall by 9" in diameter. Walls are at least 1/2" thick.

Very good shape, with a few notes: the years have pocked a section of glaze, as shown — most likely the glaze bubbled on initial firing and finally gave way. There are 2 hairline cracks down the rim, extending about an inch or so. In all the years I've had this, they haven't changed in any way.

International and Canadian buyers please note that this is a very heavy piece. If you're interested, please convo me and I'll be happy to provide a shipping quote.
