This black beaded 1920s flapper dress is a little piece of Michigan history. The dress belonged to Queena (Warner) Fitzgerald, wife of of Governor Frank D. Fitzgerald. The Fitzgerald estate (Grand Ledge - where the governor's mansion was located for some time) was just recently auctioned, and this dress was a part of that auction.

The sleeveless dress is made from paper thin black fabric and is heavily beaded. Due to the delicate condition of the dress, it would need to be restored to be worn, or would be a lovely piece for any collector of 1920s fashion or Michigan history.

------------

❉ Condition: Good // Delicate ( the dress is in very delicate condition, with loose beading and thin fabric with small holes - an example of the condition is shown in the last photo. due to the age and condition of the garment, the dress is a final sale and sold as is. )
