This vintage sewing pattern, Style 2394, makes either a 6 or 4 gored skirt with a waistband and zipper in the side seam.

The gores give the skirt an extra flare, personally I would choose the size gored skirt because I like to flounce around! The four panel skirt is super easy because all of the panels are the same size, just cut four on the bias and a waistband and go for it. The pattern is for a knee length skirt.

Size 16 in 1978 is more like a size 12 - 14 in today's Aus sizing.

Suggested fabrics are cotton, denim, rayon, poplin, wool/cotton blends, fine jersey and synthetics.

To make the four panelled skirt, you will need 1.8metres of 115cm wide fabric, or for a six gored skirt you will need 2.6m. Why not check out the vintage fabric listed in my shop for something to suit?

This pattern is uncut and in factory folded condition. The envelope is ever so slightly crumpled. Instructions included.
