Offering an outstanding piece of antique furniture. Called a Secretary, this beautiful desk folds up securely, the glass cabinet shows off treasures, three drawers hold items out of sight while a mirror reflects above. (Please ignore glares in the glass. It's visually flawless)

Sculptural Art Nouveau details set this piece apart. Beautifully hand carved details, like the arch that reaches out, forming a graceful architectural element. Behind the arch hides a shelf, ready to hold whatever object tickles your fancy.

As typical in these older desks, amendments were made to the adustable shelf system. Extra holes & small nails inserted to hold shelves in a certain place are all that was done and it's invisible unless you're installing the shelves. The glass cabinet has one tiny knick to the glass, approx 1/8 of an inch long, nearly impossible to detect.

Overall excellent all original condition. Well kept for the last 110+ years.

The glowing wood finish is in very good condition. There are no significant signs of age. The finish is original and has NOT been refinished. There is light wear where the desk has folded down and along the base, but nothing significant. The inside desk piece has wear in the form of scratches. The top of the desk has a few tiny holes in the wood-see photo with keys.

The entire piece measures approximately 68 inches high x 36 1/2 inches wide x 12 1/2 inches deep. The glass display cabinet measures 46 inches high x 17 inches wide inside.
