1880 hardback copy of W.H. Mallock's Poems. Published London, by Chatto & Windus, Piccadilly.

Inscription reads "The mount is mute, the channel dry."

Definite wear, perhaps water damage, to cover. Pages are what I would call "crisp," but turn easily and spine is still firmly bound to pages. See pictures for further detail about wear of book. I would define it, for its age, as fair to good condition. Certainly a very rare find.

For those who'd like a little more history on Mr. Mallock, it was his "A Human Document, A Novel" that was turned into a popular art book called the Humument by Tom Phillips in the 70s, and it has since been reprinted in perpetuity.
