I was offered a collection of handmade wooden cutting board blocks.
The thought was that I could use them for basket bases.
Finding them too thick for basketry, I chose instead to paint them all.
I love the rural farmhouse kitchen look of them!

Here is the seventh in the "Cutting Board" collection.
It measures 8 inches long by 6.5 inches tall. The wooden block is 1 inch thick. The top edge simply reads "TOMATO".

It easily stands by itself. If you choose to hang it, you will need to apply some sort of hardware.

I used acrylic paints and it was finished with a layer of clear coat to protect the artwork.

Display these cutting boards alone or in groups! I have tomato, carrot, corn , sunflower, turtle and fish. I have photographed some of them together so you could see a possible grouping.
Each one is sold individually.

Try pairing these with the baskets from my Farmer's Market series!
