Antique art deco style tea set or coffee set. Silver plated. Set consists of a tall tea pot or coffee pot, creamer, open sugar, and also a silver ring. I am not sure what the purpose of this is. It would fit around a plate nicely, but I do not see any marks where it was attached to anything. I am including it and hopefully you can figure out something to do with it.

I have been told that the ring is probably part of a tray and that it would have originally held a black heat proof section which easily came apart for cleaning.

Marked Benedict Proctor, Canada.

Art deco styling in the handles and spout and on the pattern on the edges. The pot handle has the ebony rings to prevent it from heating up too much and burning your hands.

Coffee/teapot measures approximately 10 inches wide by 10 1/2 inches tall. The ring is approximately 11 1/2 inches on the outside, 8 1/2 inches on the inside.

The base of the pot is a soft metal under the silver and is a bit out of shape. It has a very slight wobble, you can probably straighten it with your hands. It looks like a repair on the lid of the pot. It is polished now but will probably need a buffing again when you get it.
