Natural Ethiopan opal, Colombian emerald and malachite bracelet in 14K gold filled, rose gold or sterling silver. Opal and emeralds go two well together and make for a lovely feminine combination that would do well on any blushing bride or just a spring maiden as well. This simple design is easy to combine but also substantial enough to wear on its own. For more layering options, check out my other emerald bracelets! Emerald is the rarest form of beryl gemstone family (other members are aquamarine and morganite). The green color is the result of traces of the element chromium. Emeralds are the product of a rare geological process and therefore scarce. Colombian emeralds are world famous for their vibrancy and quality. The ancient Aztecs believed there was a goddess in the emerald. Emerald is good for eyesight, memory and brain function. As a green stone it obviously is good against insomnia, bad dreams and protection in general. Emerald is a stone of good luck, happiness and love. Keep it with you at all times!

Opal is formed in desert areas where seasonal rains trickle through silica rich rock formations. This process takes place over millions of years but the gemstones that are left behind after the water has evaporated still contain a high percentage of water.
