Dorm room or first apartment need that special *something* to set it off? Maybe you want a conversation starter for your office or living room? Perhaps this pieced-pebble-poultry pair can help you out ... Glitz Brings all the Birds to the Yard!

This set of two do-it-yourself Hippie folk art yard birds (on faux-bois backing) seek a new home.

Stan "The Man" is a gorgeous black headed-rooster with brilliant irridescent teal, flat amethyst purple, lime green, and marine blue plumage.Cherry red circular stones highlight his comb, and black tiny pebbles outline his tail feathers. The Man is depicted welcoming the morning sun, and well, waking up the world so folks can get to work. Perhaps he's modeling for the Kellogg's Cornflakes box, but I'm not sure, so let's just say no and move on. At Stan's feet are six pebbles, perhaps grains of corn for breakfast. Thin cord in shimmery gold and ebony black accentuate Stan's superb coat of colors, while defining his shape.

Lucille struts an argyle patchwork of shimmery sapphire blue separated by muted mossy green. Her underbelly -- as well as the entire bodies of her three chick brood--is a mix of flaxen and fatigue green. Like her partner, Stan, Lucille has a cherry red comb and golden feet.

Constructed on material between heavy cardboard and lightweight wood paneling. Both pieces have a wood-grain faux front. Stan and Lucille were previously stapled to a wall. Stan's portrait is missing 4 rectangular punches on each vertical side, whereas Lucille's sides only show 8 pairs of holes on each side.

Hangers were added to the back: an adhesive look with a rusty paperclip for Stan, and a rusty paper clip taped prolifically to the backside for Lucille.

In fair to fairly poor condition with the aforementioned rectangular side punches or pairs of holes; a square sticker removed from the upper right corner of the rooster; a dented lower corner and dents in three other areas on Lucille's portrait, and peeling up faux bois on Lucille, as well. Hey, they are OLD and have seen much in their lifetime. Now, they just want to hang out with you, and possible settle down from all of the excitement.
