Price reduction! This is a big piece that we have had for a while and we need to clean the slipcover, so instead of wrestling that off and cleaning it, we are reducing it. The slipcover always cleans beautifully and it's not really all that dirty at the moment, but it is a pain to restretch over the frame, hence, a big reduction in price for your effort...

Big, stylish 1950's or 60's sectional sofa with a custom slipcover. Sofa is structurally sound though it weighs a ton and as we have found with many of these mid-century sofas, the stylish little legs are prone to breaking right off. PLEASE KNOW THIS. It is very easy to repair them with screws and epoxy (not wood glue) but they break sometimes when being moved or even just pushed around. One is actually missing right now on the back corner but we just left it off as we didn't want to deal with it and it seems to be fine without it. But, we have it. Somewhere.

Anyway, we use this sofa and it's very comfortable. The slipcover is washable and well fitted, but takes some wrestling to get back over the cushions and frame as it tends to shrink. We find that we have to stuff it on the cushions and let it stretch out, looking kind of lumpy and funny for a few days. The slipcover is in decent condition with some wear and faint soiling, but is fairly usable as is if you wanted to wait to get the piece upholstered. It just depends on your tolerance for wear. Also, the fabric underneath the slipcover is not attractive and is missing on the seat cushions. It has alot of sun damage and a stain on the right arm frame side. We can get you a picture if you insist.

The piece does not smell at all and has great lines. The underside needs a new lining to prevent the burlap from falling down and to clean up the look. Currently the old lining is torn and hangs down and isn't the most attractive thing in the world but we deal with it.
