1987 New Fish Cookery by James Beard
The Comprehensive Fish Cookbook

First published in 1954, this updated & revised edition (2nd printing, 1987 edition) contains 480 pages of everything about cooking fish. I'm a big fan of James Beard's recipes and collections, & he doesn't disappoint here.

More than 500 recipes for 85 different kinds of freshwater fish, saltwater fish & shellfish. Plus a chapter on buying the best fish, cleaning & dressing your fish, how to use leftover fish & Beard's mantra... The Canadian Cooking Theory: a method which "works like a charm & is completely foolproof."

The book is a paperback & is in good condition, mainly due to a few fold marks on the front & back covers. Inside, the book is in pristine condition: no writing, marks, stains, or tears. The spine is not broken.

With more of us looking to expand our meals to include a wider variety of foods ( and especially relatively healthy fish) this is a great addition to a cook's collection.

Shipping rates apply to the continental US. (Outside that region, please feel free to convo me, & we'll see if we can work something out) Your book will be shipped USPS Media Mail (2-8 days) with Delivery Confirmation.

Thrifty Scotch Girl...
Welcome ~~ This is a new section I've started this year where my Scotch roots mean great deals for you. I come across many beautiful, old time-tested things ~ items that have had a life & a history, and still retain their beautiful form & function. But I live in a very small house. So this section is dedicated to finding homes quickly for these lovely old goods. In this section I will never more than double the thrifty ( & sometimes ridiculously thrifty!) prices that I find these goods for. What that means is great deals for you, & new homes, quickly found, for great old bits of history. It's a win-win situation :)
A word about shipping rates & multiple item orders... While shipping is carefully calculated on each item to keep your delivery cost low, if you're interested in multiple items it may be possible to save more by combining shipping. I anticipate items going quickly here, so the best way to do this is to purchase the item you want most, & then convo me with the other item(s) you're interested in. If the other goods haven't yet sold, I will deactivate the listing(s) while we work out a combined rate to ship the all the goods in the same box.
So.......Take a look around & see if anything speaks to you. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal anywhere
