This was a real find and perfect gift for a person who really loves fishing, hunting, vacationing or being a tourist in the State of Idaho. I looked up on the web and believe the copyright date for this “Sportsman’s Guide WITH DETAILED MAPS” is 1923 according to this web site:

However the actual copyright date is unknown as there is no formal date on any of the enclosed maps (pockets) or pages in the guide.

This is a set of 24 maps which fold into pockets in the cover (binder style), there are 48 pages in the book part which contain some advertisements and Idaho info like towns, fish species pictures, etc. The main thing about this book are the maps, you get 12 fold-out (approx. 17" x 22") maps with a map on each side making 24 maps which are for different sections of the state.

Edw. W. Pulver & Son, Seattle 5, Washington, no date (possibly 50's or early 60's), the entire Guide measures 5 3/4" x 8 1/2" x 1” thick, stapled, soft-cover and in GOOD CONDITION… maps also are in good condition... plus there are two additional maps, one of Malheur County and a copy of what appears to be a handmade map titled, “The Modern Daniel Boone Deer Stand”

The entire product is in really good condition, all maps are included plus there are two addition maps, one has the date of 1964.

Inside pages are in the same great condition, showing ads, photos and cool tips for the avid sports fanatic. This is a great gift for someone who is a collector or is very hard to buy for.

At another site I found this information: “…first issued in 1947 and was called the “Washington Sportsmen’s Guide (with attached maps)”. It was put out yearly by “Edward W Pulver & Son” of Seattle and lasted into the early 1960’s.”

At another web site, towards the bottom of the listings was a notation about this Publishing Company with a copyright date of 1925; here is this site’s address:
