I love making windchimes from old lampshades! This one is about 5" wide and 17" long. You can put a votive jar in the middle and the shade will glow and sparkle - maybe a citronella votive if you hang it outside?

The chimes are hand-cut stained glass, alternating pieces of light amber yellow and a clear glass with a delicate fern-like pattern. I drilled holes in the shade and each of the chimes and then put it all together with stainless steel wire and glass beads. The stainless ensures both strength and durability - all of my pieces can go outside (although you should bring it indoors during on very windy days).

Just as pretty indoors as out, this would make a perfect gift for a collector of vintage glass.

Thanks for looking. I'll be adding more chimes this week, most of them made from vintage pieces, so please come back often.
