Thanks for looking at my work. All pieces are hand turned or carved. Each piece is unique and individual as the tree it came from. No two designs alike.

You are looking at a vase turned out of Osage Orange wood. This wood, also known as Bodauk or Hedgeapple, is a native tree used mainly for fence posts because of its hardness and slow decay. Certain Indian tribes used it for their long bows, hence the name bodauk (bow wood).

Natural knot holes and unusual grain figure.

Natural oil finish for that hand rubbed appearance, and topped off with a durable low gloss lacquer finish.

Great for dried flowers.

Measures about 3" X 8".

Signed and dated.
