Incredible antique early 1900s silk wedding ensemble including the wedding dress, two petticoat skirts, a pair of lady’s bloomers, antique shoes and button-down shirt that I assume was part of the male’s wardrobe.

The Dress:
The gorgeous silk wedding gown has such fine and intricate detail throughout! The center bodice insert features rows of floral net lace and thin silk net starting at the collar with tiny faux pearl accents at the top. Towards the center V is a large crochet lace flower medallion that peaks through the diagonal rows of floral crochet lace that extend down the backside. Two large gathered silk panels cross-over the front and back bodice with more of the crochet floral lace trimming each outer panel as well two center flower accents. A silk waistband runs around the midriff and is adorned on the backside with a large silk bow! The silk sleeves feature 5 pintucked tiers, two lace flower accents and the floral crochet lace that is featured on the bodice.

From the high midriff slightly past the hip area this gown features outstanding vertical pintucking with built in inner boning/stays! From the pintucks the skirt flows in clean waves and ends with 6 horizontal tiers with the thicker hem at the bottom. The skirt is lined with white linen with two ruffled flounces at the hem trimmed in floral lace. Dress closes with eye/hooks up the back (dress form was too big – which is why the top portion is open in picture).

Dress Condition: Overall Very Good But Fragile. The main silk/structure of dress is in really great condition. There are a few very small holes that do not affect the structure/sturdiness. Underarms have yellowing but panel covers it up. 1 very faint small yellow mark on back far right silk panel layer. The crochet lace trim, panels and center crochet flower medallion are all in immaculate shape! The center bodice insert is as-is fragile and needs to be handled with care as there are stressed seams where the thin silk net has pulled apart creating small gaps/shreds.

Would be great for display and can be worn, although the bodice insert would definitely need some attention.

SIZE: The dress is an XS-Small. The bust measures up to 32" around. The waist is 25-25.5" max around. Slightly fitted through the hips to 43" around from which point the skirt then flares out nice and full. The dress measures approximately 57" in length from the top of shoulder (where the silk meets the lace) to the front hem and 65" in length to the center back hem.

The Undergarments:
Two petticoats and are pair of bloomers are included with this set.

The first petticoat is cotton and has a horizontal layer of crochet lace towards hem and is also trimmed with scalloped crochet lace. Two button closures at the waistband and two ties for closure. As-is condition -there is a lot of rusty spots/marks.

The second petticoat is much finer with four ruffled gathered tiers of scalloped crochet lace. One button and two ties for closure. Good/Fair condition – three tiny brown spots and two large chunks out of the final tier of crochet lace and 1 chunk out of under ruffle hem.

The bloomers feature wide flared legs with 6” hems featuring a row of cut-out floral lace followed by lightly gathered horizontal pintucks with the scalloped crochet floral lace at the hem. The bloomers close with one button and two ties. Excellent condition!

The Footwear:
The antique creamy white kid leather shoes are pointed with a Mary Jane style with double silk ribbon strap threaded tie closures. The only markings I found are on the inside that appear to be “37 2 306”. The shoes are in good overall shape however both heels have lost or are losing the leather.

The Shirt:
Okay so I am confused by the cotton button down shirt that came with this set. The only markings is a tag at the neckline that has an image of a lion with “Lion Shirt U.S. & C.Co.” and the front left shirt panel has a stamp “A-1019 KINOA 16-33.” I was told the 16-33 is the size: 16 neck and 33 inches from nape to wrist. I tried to find out info on the other markings but unfortunately couldn’t find anything to help. I assume the shirt is a men’s as it’s a large size. Features include two long front pintuck panels with four button closures leaving the hem open. The back is definitely longer than the front and there is a loop at back neckline I’m thinking was used to navigate a tie through. Good condition with three tiny orange dots found on left pintucked panel.

This set is sold in as-is condition. Please read all condition statements and ask any questions as I will not accept returns on this set.
