This is an art deco bakelite desk piece that holds 4x6 note paper. It comes with paper! This was a promotional piece done back in the day by Autopoint Products. They made pencils and other things. This stylish little piece captures the essence of the 30's & 40's deco style. A lush brown with aged and yellowing paper. This also comes in the original box. The box looks pretty good considering the age but does have some stains. The corners are intact.

This is probably a left over or a salesman's sample. It is embossed with the name D. Mellin Moran out of Wyandotte. I believe that's Michigan.

This is a great little piece and I am almost certain that these were used as salesman's samples because I have had a few of them and awhile ago I saw that someone else sold a few as well.

A lovely desk set.
