I always wanted a hat like this, but none of the ones I found in shops ever quite lived up to the awesomeness I had in my head from Newsies. That's a hard bar to jump! I used a super soft leather I got as part of a bundle, and I was honestly worried that I'd gone too thin on it, but once the stitch lines were in, it gave it the stability it needed with the softness and flexibility I wanted, and I'm totally in love. I made one for my grandson, and another in metallic rainbow leather just because I thought it would look cool. I was right. Fantastic pattern, already a favorite.

This cap was a real doozie to make, can't deny it. However the finished results were fantastic. Totally recommend to even a beginner leatherworker. Note: If you have, or can get Crazy Horse leather, totally use it for this cap, practically made for it!

Excellent pattern, with incredibly straight forward video instructions detailing every step. I work in a boot factory and used scrap veg-tan Italian horse hide for the material and it turned out better than I imagined.
