This is a cheese tray designed by Ernest Sohn. Sohn was famous for combining wood, ceramic and metal into beautiful mid-century serving ware. The tray is made out of walnut with a ceramic tile inset into it with an incredible almost Aztec looking circular design of brown and gold on white. There is also a metal piece on the edge of the tray which I believe is for holding a cheese knife. The tile is marked "Ernest Sohn" on the front in gold and there is a stamp branded into the wood on the back of the tray which reads "Genuine Walnut Designed by Ernest Sohn".

The tray is 8" by 8" square.

The tray is in very good vintage condition. There is a small area of discoloration on the wood and there are a few small scuffs on the edge of the ceramic trivet.
