@Jumblelaya: ca. 1930s and oh-so-glamourous...

The Measurements.

About a modern M.
Bust (underarm to underarm measured flat, then doubled): 38".
Waist: 30".
Hips: Full/48".
Shoulder to waist: 16".
Waist to hem: 40".

Note: these are the measurements of the garment itself.
Please allow adequate "wiggle room" for proper fit -- at least an inch is recommended.

The Condition.

This 70+ year old dress is in very nice shape, especially for the era. I could find no blatant flaws or issues -- it is sturdy and presents beautifully. The rich color is unfaded, and the fabric is soft and clean.

To note: one side of the waist has some stitches that appear to have been placed there to close a seam; it's not a professional job, but could be taken apart and easily redone by a seamstress/tailor. The hemline has two small tears (heel stick, probably) that were mended decades ago; the skirt could be raised slightly to remove these completely, but honestly these small mends would never be detected under normal circumstances.
