This illustration is an example of Phrenology: How To Judge Character Quackery from a book printed in 1886!

"The Two Paths. What Will The Boy Become?" would be a unique gift for the Victorian art collector, physician, teacher, or paper collage artist!

This unique antique illustration is from the 1886 book entitled:

The Home Library of Useful Knowledge
A Complete Cyclopedia of Reference
Historical, Biographical, Scientific and Statistical
Embracing the most improved and Simple Methods of
Self Instruction in all Branches of Popular Education
(Whew...this has to be the world's longest book title!)

This is a COPY of the original that I printed on 100% ivory cotton paper. The illustration measures 8" x 10.25" and the paper is the standard 8" x 12" size. It is the perfect size to be framed with a mat and when displayed as a group, these unique black and white prints are simply spectacular! (See the last photo for inspiration in creating your own wall collage of vintage illustrated graphics for your home.)

On the copy you can see that the original illustration has left lighter margins around the outside of the 8" x 12 paper that it was printed on.
