The Lucet is a wooden tool used for making cords and fine ropes that can be used as drawstrings, decorative ribbing, and woven to create strong fabrics. Lucet are known to have existed in the later part of the Medieval period. Bone pieces have been found from the Anglo-Saxon period and earlier, that are believed by some to have been lucet forks. The art of lucetting is finding a resurgence in the re-enactment clubs for the medieval period.

This lucet fork is hand carved from a single piece of oak. It is 4.0 inches long from tip to tip. The lucet horns are 2.5 inches apart.

The fork has been finished with an exterior grade polyurethane for a long lasting, glossy finish.
