This fantastic coal miner's aluminum lunch box was found in the West Virginia mountain town of Philippi. The domed lid contains a bracket for a thermos, and the original leather handle remains. The leather straps on the front of the lid are missing, leaving just the rusty center metal hing and make-shift bent nail to hold it in place. Dented and beat on, the piece is nonetheless a wonderful bit of history! The 10 x 8 x 4 1/2 inch box comes with two vintage worker's time cards found inside, which are also pictured, and the box would make a unique Man gift.
