During the summer, I often paint on the lawn at Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, in the beautiful Berkshire hills where I live. I did this in August, 2011 in the late afternoon, just before sunset. It was one of those summer days where the weather couldn't quite make up it's mind, which makes it both a pleasure and a challenge to capture.

This oil painting is on a gessoed masonite panel, which not only offers superior archival qualities, but also allows for the maximum flexibility in framing. The second image shows what it looks like in its standard 8x10 frame, but can easily be switched for any stock frame of your choosing.

Color may vary slightly depending on your monitor settings. Artist retains all copyright and reproduction rights to this image.
