This is one of the most unusual pieces I have come across. It is a wood and steel tray that was used to develop photos. It measures 9"x7"x1" on the outside and the inside measures 6 3/4" x 4 3/4". It has steel holders on the back that depress and allow either a portion or all of the burgundy felt lined inside to come out. On the back it is engraved with " 5x7 Eastman Heavy Weight Printing Frame" and "Made in the USA By Folmer Graflex Corp. for Eastman Koday Company".
This would be great to showcase a treasured vintage picture. It is very sturdy and the inside stays secure. It does have some imperfections that come with a piece this age. A couple of chips in the wood and a little rusting on the steel.
