This is such a lovely romantic Victorian porcelain water pitcher with soft sepia transferware flowers covering most of the front and par of the back of the piece. Beautiful undulating fluting gives the spout and rim a flowing appearance. With relief areas of decoration on the main body and an elaborate handle this pitcher has a such a graceful character. Perfect for display, actual use, or wonderful as a container for your favorite flowers.

Before the invention of sinks with plumbing people used wash basins and pitchers which usually sat on or in a wash stand placed in the bedroom or bath. This water pitcher is from that era and in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks. there is crazing in the glaze but this does not affect the integrity of the piece and it's still perfectly functional.

The pitcher measures 11.25" h x 9.5 w ( spout to handle) x 8" d
