Post war, made in Japan, gold Imari covered jar. Artifacts of this nature were mass produced by the Japanese for export to America. Beautifully patterned, large jar with russet hues and gold.

It is in excellent condition without defects of any kind measuring approximately 13.5 inches high, 5 inches wide at the mouth and 9 inches in diameter at the widest part.

It is unusual to find a jar that still has the lid as over time they are lost or broken. Jars of this size could be found in the temples and are also known as temple jars.
