This is a sweet, cute and very feminine little set of tin lithographed dishes made by Ohio Art. Based upon the graphic design, I'm going to estimate is vintage is late 1940's to early 1950's.

The set consists of an 8 x10 serving tray, 4 dishes measuring 4.5 inches across, 3 dishes measuring 3 inches across, and 2 dishes measuring 1.75 inches across. There is also a little cup and a little sugar bowl. My guess is that this was part of a larger tea set, but the other pieces fell by the wayside.

The pieces you see here, however, are in very nice condition! The serving tray shows a couple of stains and nicks on the front, but is largely clean and bright. There is some wear around the outer edges, but it isn't especially evident. There is no rusting on the bottom of the tray and the paint is rubbed only around the edges.

The little plates and cup show some rubbing around the outside edges, but that is all -- they are bright and clean. The green interior of the cup and sugar bowl have no nicks on the interior paint. You can see that the set is marked at the bottom of the cup with an Ohio Art logo.

Ohio Art set the standard for beautiful tin lithographed toys, and the peaceful colors and quieter design of this set makes them a great addition to any vintage-style decor. They would be so cute on a shabby chic table, or especially darling as nursery decor.
