Polymer Clay Figurine Sculpture of a mexican dude in the desert.

"I don't always drink Dos Equis, but when I do..."
were the last words heard from this dude last night when he stumbled out with his last 6 pack. He has just been awoken, and look where he crashed out!...
Somewhere in the desert with barely a burlap sack to rest his head, leaning up against a rock next to a hollowed out log, with so many creatures lurking about that its a wonder he never saw the eyes glowing all around him.
Looks like he still may have a little hair of the dog in his hand ;)

Made from polymer clay, the mexican dude has alpaca hair and mustache and a real glass eye peaking out at from under his sombrero. He sports a fine pair of huarache sandals that match his serape/poncho perfectly. He has wire armatures all through his body, even hands and feet and he is mounted permanently, as is the cactus, rock, and log.
The tiny gourd holds a live tillandsia air plant that is nearly impossible to kill. Its lasted months with me..hee hee hee
And just to let you know, the gourd is not mounted permanently. This is to allow for watering of the tilandsia.

Underneath the sandy ledges where the dude rests is a tarantula on the front side and a lizard on the backside. Slithering on the back log is a rattlesnake. A carved out hollow on the cactus has 2 eyes peering out. All of the creatures/eyes are glow in the dark eyes that glow for 6/8 hrs with a 15 minute charge.
The sand is permanent and not loose.

I documented this entire work in progress in pics. So there are numerous photos available for viewing. Send me a convo if you'd like to see more. Sorry the last pic is crummy; I'm having trouble getting a good shot of the tarantula under the ledge.

PLEASE NOTE: Maybe you think this would be perfect, if it only had a different brand of beer OR maybe you want him to hold a bottle of tequila or even a soda or energy drink?
The beer cans are NOT YET mounted permanently .
Let me know what your choice is and I'll see if I have it or can get it.

Size -11" x 8" oval mount and the tallest point is the cactus-8.75"

As always, thanks for looking at my creations :)
