Circuit Board bow tie. We're super excited to bring you a limited run of bow ties and neckties printed from real vintage circuit board patterns. No fake Photoshopped circuit "bored" here. (ha!) We literally found a truckload of really REALLY interesting vintage screens, all covered with schematics from the 60's, 70's and 80's before parts became overly micronized, we just couldn't resist the serendipity any longer, considering our fascination with electronics history. The universe made us do it! Shown in photos: antique brass on black. Hand-printed in our Detroit studio.

► This is a self-tie or "freestyle" bow tie, (the cool kind you tie yourself). The ties are fully adjustable and are traditional, no hook.

►REVERSIBLE! The pattern is printed on one side - switch it around to experiment showing less of the pattern, subtly peeking a little bit out.


►THE MAKING OF:

We sleuthed the provenance of this vintage screen to the best of our knowledge. It appears these were for small CRT displays/control monitors in the mid-80's. When fabricating actual circuit boards, silkscreens are used to print etch-resistant inks on to the board to protect the copper foil. Subsequent etching removes the unwanted copper and one is left with the desired copper pattern for conductivity.

LIMITED EDITION! As is the nature of vintage screens, once these screens die, that's it. (Not knowing the emulsion it was made with, they might hold up for a week, they might last for years!)

We treat every package like a gift - it comes wrapped all together with brown paper and string (because it is a wonderful thing!) and a care card. We never include prices or an invoice, so your gift-recipient eyes will never see that stuff. If you require one, please just let us know!

We also offer paperboard gift boxes, high-end wood gift boxes and hand-written note cards for purchase too.
Standard Tie: ~3.5” wide x 58” long. (aka “regular”/wide/traditional). This is the flagship “safe” bet, good for gifting, Dads, office dudes, & anyone but the smallest framed.

Narrow Tie: ~2.5” wide x 58” long. (aka modern cut/slim). This is the “Goldilocks” middle width that looks good on just about everyone, except the largest frames. Younger and more fashionable. What guys often buy for themselves!

Skinny Tie: ~1.5” wide x 58” long. We don’t sell as many of these, but they're very young and the most fashion forward. For small frames and great for women too! Limited colors in microfiber only.

Bow ties: One size, ~14"-20" neck size.

Scarves (Linen-weave & Traditional Pashmina): One size, 28” wide x 80” long with fringe.

Microfiber neckties, bow ties and pocket squares [Easy care!]:
Hand wash in cool water and take care not to rub the design too hard. You can also machine wash on delicate in a mesh bag or knotted pillow case. Creases and folds? Iron on medium heat; you can iron directly on the design.

Silk neckties:
Spot clean or dry clean only, never machine wash or immerse in water. Creases and folds? Iron on medium to high heat.

Regular weight and linen-weave pashmina scarves:
Hand wash or machine wash on delicate in a mesh bag or knotted pillow case so it doesn't stretch and tangle. Hang or preferably dry flat, do NOT machine/tumble dry! Creases and folds? Iron with high heat.
