This Victorian era pattern was created by me, Deb Salisbury, owner of The Mantua-Maker Historical Sewing Patterns. Bathing suits and swimming dresses were varied and fashionable during the 1880's. Women were beginning to become more active, and water sports - mostly consisting of wading, although there were a few true swimmers - were greatly enjoyed.

In this pattern, the top and drawers are combined into one piece, while the skirt is a separate garment. It can be make with or without sleeves, and the lining is optional. A simple cap pattern is included.

This pattern includes 12 pages of instructions with historical tips and quotes, and 5 pattern sheets. It is printed on bond paper, and enclosed in a white paper envelope. All sizes Petite – X-large are included. Bust 32" to 52".

Please read all instructions before touching your fabric. There are tips along the way to make your life easier!
