This lithographed and engraved series of four United States postage stamps from 1968 was part of the Natural Beauty Campaign for more beautiful cities, parks, highways, and streets. Images include the Capital building and Washington Monument in DC, the Potomac River, streets and highways. Flowers include poppies, azaleas, tulips, daffodils, lupines and blooming crabapple trees.

The face of this canvas measures 8.5 x 13.5 inches (21.6 x 34.3 cm). It is a sample from a series of 20 pieces in this size. Larger sizes are available, including one made 18 x 29 inches (45.7 x 73.7 cm). Each stamp from this four up have also been made into individual art pieces. If you don't see it among my other Etsy listings please inquire.

I wanted to enjoy stamp artwork without a magnifying glass, without trapping these great little pieces of art in rarely seen binders. I started to blow them up and thought of Past Postage. Vintage postage stamps, meticulously scanned, cleaned, enlarged and printed on a premium archival canvas using professional equipment. The canvas is given a protective UV coating and stretched and stapled over handmade wooden frames of kiln dried poplar. Smaller pieces like this one are stretched over a half inch thick piece of high quality birch ply. All artwork comes securely packaged and ready to hang.

Thank you.
