This beautiful Victorian era ring has it all...the ruby, the pearls and the scrolls on the side of the band.

The ruby is synthetic....what they would do is grind up bad rubies, melt them and make synthetic rubies.

Rubies were the symbol of PASSION in the Victorian era...it was a very romantic gesture to be given a ruby ring. They were also sometimes given to mothers who gave birth to a daughter.

Great condition, a little wear with age, but this ring has held up nicely. A faint line in the band where it was re-sized.

Circa 1880

Not marked but tested positive for 10K
Marked with an arrow in a circle (see last pic of makers mark)

Ring size: 5.25 that can be resized at your local Jewelers
Ruby is approx 6mm long by 4mm wide
Pearls are 1mm around
Face of ring is 12mm long by 9 mm wide
Total gram weight: 1.9
