This massive stone ledge overhang has provided a natural shelter to native Americans since the Paleolithic period, up to 12,000 years ago. Hiking into the site alone, hearing only the sound of water dripping from the ledge and the rustle of a breeze through the forest, it was easy to image that the place hadn't changed since those stone age dwellers walked the same space eons ago.
