* a pair of 8mm safety eyes,
* stuffing.

I would say this pattern is not for beginners at all. There was several spots that I had some confusion on and had to use my past experience to figure it out. Mine turned out bigger than the original pattern because I used a 1.50 and 1.80 hook. I couldn’t imagine using the smaller hook with cotton yarn that splits so easily! I also used a dragonfly broach rather than following the patterns crocheted one. Overall, it turned out super cute.

This pattern states for experienced crocheters, which worried me a little. But the instructions are very clear with colour pictures and explanatory notes. I have gained confidence throughout the process of this pattern. I'm very happy with the end result. Who knew I could do it!
