This is a vintage BEAUTEBOX by CANCO. It was made for ‘Weber’s’ in Milwaukee, WI and I assume since it was my mother’s it is from the 1930-1950’s. It has been used as my button box for years. It measures 8’ x 4 5/8” x 2 ¼” deep. There is some rust, some minor scrapes and scratches on this tin candy box. BEAUTEBOX and Canco are easily seen on the bottom. You also can see "WEBER"S" on the lid if you look at it from an angle. It also has ‘4 LB NET’ on the top as it probably held candy. The box itself is hard to describe: a mix of flowers and geometric designs of red, green, gold and brown. The background for this design is gold. The lid is curved so the pictures are hard to show without shadows. There are two dark spots that are easily seen on the lid, but many of the other marks are picture imperfections. There are no dents. This box is in very good shape for a very old candy box!

So many uses for this lovely vintage candybox: buttons, pens, hankies, you name it! A lovely addition to your shabby chic room!
