Medium: acrylic and metallic plaster on canvas, high gloss finish
Very cute painting of a parent and child, big brother or sister and little one, older and younger friend. So many people can give those life lessons to influence the younger ones and deserve recognition. Great gift for for that influential person in your life!
This listing is for a one of a kind, original, sculptural abstract painting from my Night Lessons series. This is an example of the popular "Aqua Jungle" color combination.
This is a custom listing and will be created just for you after purchase. There may be some slight variation in flow pattern but the colors will be the same.
All paintings come with sides painted black and ready to hang. They are lovingly created with high quality acrylics on pre-stretched ¾ inch gallery wrapped canvas, with two coats of protective varnish to protect your artwork for years to come. The piece will come signed, and titled on the back.
Interior views are NOT always to scale, so please check the measurements and make sure the size is appropriate for your space!
These paintings usually take 5-7 business days to create before shipping.
“The painting has a life of it’s own.”
- Jackson Pollock
The sculptural, abstract paintings in this series truly do have a life of their own. There are many layers involved, over many days, and I never know exactly what the end result will be. A truly unique painting is created through beginning with a sculptural process, adding color, removing color, letting it run, letting it dry and crack, and even adding glazes and metals to some of the pieces. This artistic process can be done exactly the same on two different paintings, and both will come out differently. They truly do have a life of their own and it is SO exciting! I have worked with many artistic styles and mediums and this process is definitely the most fun and very, very satisfying. The inspiration can come from many different places, from a sky, to a piece of pottery, a room in someone’s house or even a song. Because I don’t know how it is going to come out, the painting has to “tell” me when it is finished. When the last layer is added… I just know! I hope you will blessed to own and enjoy one of these pieces- as I have been blessed in making it.
