Mystical and abstract, this silhouette painting borders on the surreal. Feels like a dream sequence I would see right before death.

The image was created by altering a grey scale newspaper photograph of cars speeding down a highway. Layers of female silhouettes in yellow and red ink are covered by male forms in black and white acrylic. What remains is a dreamlike crowd of shadows. The final image has been mounted onto a playing card, creating a very sturdy piece.

Tiny works of art always inspire great interest and conversation. Just frame and display on your wall or shelf.

+ title: shade
+ media: newspaper ephemera, inks, acrylic paint
+ measurements: 2.5 in by 3.5 in, rounded corners
+ originality: always one of a kind, not a print.

Original ACEO's and artist trading card's are fun little works of art defined by their size (2.5 by 3.5 inches.) They are affordable to collect and are super unique when displayed or framed.

about the artist

evey in orbit is Veronica Leto, a mixed media artist, zinester and photographer from NYC. Hi! All of my creations are one of a kind, put together with a mish mash of media and what most consider paper trash. Some people look at the world and see junk in the randomness; I see possibility.

Thanks for looking!
