If you're like me, a pot of tea says 'relax'. But without a cozy to keep it warm it quickly turns cold. This one is 100% cotton. The outside is handwoven by me in my Swedish Blocks pattern. The lining is a purchased medium navy blue linen. Features a brown coordinating piping around the edge and lined with several layers of polyfil for warmth.

The inside photo shows the hot pad that fits inside. The pot is set on it then the sides are held up with an elasticized ribbon that is firmly attached. You can still pour your tea without removing the cozy.

It is approximately 8" tall and wide and will comfortably fit a 6 or 8 cup Pristine style teapot(shown with a 6 cup pot). It's best washed by hand and line dried although the fabric was machine washed before sewing.

Teapot is not included.

You can see more tea cozies and other textiles for your home in my shop. You'll find kitchen towels (dish towels or tea towels as we like to call them!), a tea cozy or two, spa towels, bath towels, blankets or throws handwoven of wool, silk and/or alpaca. All designed, woven and finished by me in my studio in Maine. Thanks for looking around!

Frequently asked questions about HandwovenHome

• Towels, napkins, runners... when they come off my loom, I finish them and then wash and dry as I would expect you to do. So, they are machine washed and machine dried. Do keep in mind that machines can be rough on textiles over time. However, I have some of my own towels I use in my kitchen that are used all the time and machine washed and dried and they still look great. Linen pieces are best dried in the open air, though.

• Blankets and throws are also finished in much the same manner with much more care. I would suggest that you can soak them in a washer, spin out the water then dry in the open air. You can also have them dry cleaned, if you prefer.
If you have a specific size you would like in a runner or matching runners, table mats or napkins, please ask. It may take up top a year to get them, but I can give you an idea if it is possible depending on when you contact me. A custom order requires a set up fee which is not refundable and varies with the piece.

The throws and blankets are as wide as I make them as my loom is 60" wide. I can make them longer, but not wider.
