This old, one quart, blue glass canning jar was made by the Ball Company in Muncie, Indiana. It has the words "Ball Perfect Mason " on it. It was probably manufactured between 1923 and 1933. It has the number "8" on the bottom. The lid is zinc with a white glass liner in the top.

It measures 7 inches (17.7 cm) tall.

It is in excellent condition, just a little dirty. I have not tried to clean it as the dirt gives it such character! There are some flea bites in the top rim, so it should not be used for canning (they will prevent a tight seal).
