When I acquired this vintage 70's candle holder, the graceful shape of the piece really caught my eye. And then, of course, I couldn't leave it alone - I had to give it a new look- and a seashell theme seemed to be the way to go.

The first thing I did was to disguise the old metal stand by wrapping it with twine, and then added some antiquing to resemble a wash of salt and sea spray. The beautiful old cone-shaped candle holder is made of green glass, and was trimmed in sea shells, with a cluster of shells hanging from each side.

This glass candle cup is suspended from the larger base by a metal hanger, also disguised with twine. I simply then added a candle and surrounded it with 4 shells to soften the candlelight. The effect of the light through the shells is so romantic, you will want to use it as the centerpiece for a very special occasion.

13" x 6" - Candle and shells included - Candle cup can be removed and hand washed.
